2013 Edward R. Murrow Awards

The Radio Television Digital News Association has been honoring outstanding achievements in electronic journalism with the Edward R. Murrow Awards since 1971. Murrow's pursuit of excellence in journalism embodies the spirit of the awards that carry his name. Murrow Award recipients demonstrate the spirit of excellence that Edward R. Murrow made a standard for the broadcast news profession.

2013 RTDNA/Unity Awards

RTDNA honors outstanding achievements in the coverage of diversity with the RTDNA / UNITY Award. The award is part of the covenant the association has adopted to achieve diversity in the newsroom through developing news content and editorial staffs that reflect the changing face of communities. The purpose of the award is to encourage and showcase journalistic excellence in covering issues of race and ethnicity. It is presented annually to news organizations that show an ongoing commitment to covering the diversity of the communities they serve.


EXTENDED DEADLINE: Wednesday, February 20, 2013

Murrow and Unity Award entries received AFTER  5PM ET Friday, February 8, 2013 will incur a $10  deadline extension charge in addition to the entry fee.   The entry prices shown online after 5PM Friday will include that charge.  

HOW THE AWARDS WORK

To enter the Edward R. Murrow Awards or the RTDNA/UNITY Awards click 'Enter Our Awards Now!'

Our awards entry system is comprised of the following steps:

  1. Provide information about your entry.
  2. Submit your link and upload supporting materials if necessary.
  3. Confirm your entry information is correct.
  4. Provide payment information.
  5. Your entry is now ready for judging!

Once you have completed the first step, you may return at any time to edit, upload files and complete your entry. Once the entry has been confirmed, no changes can be made. You can continue to use your username ad password to submit as many entries as you would like.
